National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.)

Each year on January 9th, National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) recognizes the daily sacrifices, dedication, and hard work of local, state, and federal law enforcement officers.

Communities across the nation are encouraged to show their appreciation and support while helping build positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Ways to Show Your Support:

• Wear blue in support of law enforcement.
• Send a card to your local law enforcement agency.
• Share a positive law enforcement experience on social media.
• Encourage children to write letters of support.
• Participate in Project Blue Light by displaying a blue light.
• Show your support through local media or billboards.
• Share the C.O.P.S. L.E.A.D. public service announcement online.
• Coordinate or participate in a Blue Blood Drive.

Most importantly, if you see a police officer, thank them for their service.
