What to Expect

After losing their spouse to a line-of-duty death, surviving spouses can be faced with difficulties such as altered life plans, raising children, and/or learning to live alone. At C.O.P.S. Spouses Retreat, you will spend the weekend bonding and receiving support from other peers who genuinely know how you feel.

C.O.P.S. Spouses Retreat provides a comfortable, safe place to unwind in a stress-free environment. You will meet licensed mental health professionals who facilitate various sessions and offer optional one-on-one counseling that will address your needs and provide tools to support you in your everyday life.

You will also get the chance to participate in fun activities that may challenge your limits and relax in group activities that encourage a continued support system beyond the retreat. By attending Spouses Retreat, you will leave with an increased sense of self-awareness and personal growth.

What is the cost of the retreat?

Your only expense is your travel to and from the Denver Airport if you are flying or to and from the YMCA of the Rockies if you are driving. All lodging, meals and activities are provided at no cost.
